INFRA HOLDING Finishes Repair of 16 km of Tourist Paths in Vitosha Natural Park

The restoration and repair of five of the main tourist routes of the oldest natural park of Bulgaria, Vitosha, has been implemented within the framework of Activities for Sustainable Management of Vitosha Natural Park project. The project was funded by the European Union through Operational Programme Environment 2007-2013. The project contractor is the subsidiary of the holding – Infra Roads Ltd., and the value of the construction works amounts to BGN 639,388.33, VAT excluded.

The range of the implemented renewal activities includes the tourist paths of Zlatni Mostove locality – Koumata Hut, Tihiya Kat locality – Vladaya village, Dragalevtsi Monastery – Bay Krastyu locality – Aleko Hut, Bistritsa village – The Final House (Vitoshko Lale) and the path network of Dragalevtsi Monastery. Depending on the state of each of the sites, a restoration of existing and construction of new bridges, curbstones, steps, ditches, culverts and supporting walls, cleaning and shaping the paths and renewal of pavement, repair of existing and setting up new recreation places.

In July the repair of other six tourist paths started in Vitosha Natural Park funded under OP Environment, for whose implementation Infra Roads Ltd. signed contracts on 22.07.2014. The total value of the envisaged activities is BGN 764,303.16, VAT excluded, and the period of implementation of repair works is 120 days. The paths to be renewed include Zlathi Mostove locality – ring path, Dendrarium locality - Zlatni Mostove locality, Yavorova Polyana locality – Kladnitsa village, Koumata Hut – Konyarnika – Zvezditsa Hut – Edelweiss Hut – Kumata Hut, Malinka Hut – Edelweiss Hut and the path from the Planinarska Pessen Hut to Bor Hut.
